Hello Pastor Jay,

I am hoping you can help me in my search for any information on my missing grandfather. I am from Georgia and I do not have access to NJ. My grandfather Melvin Minish left his home and family in GA in the year of 1949 with another woman by the name of Frances Williamson Cowart. I have recently discovered some information that it's very possible that my grandfather and Frances possibly changed their identities so no one could find them. They relocated in the Bordentown NJ area. My grandfather left a wife and 8 children behind. He was of the Baptist faith so I thought maybe he could have attended your church back in the 1950's on up to the 1990's. I also recently discovered that they could have changed their names to Paul W. Jones and Mary Ann Jones. They lived at 31 Edgewood Trailer Park when he passed away on 2-28-1999. She passed away on 7-22-2000. Both are buried at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor, her daughter lives here in Ga but refuses to tell my family anything of my grandfather even though she is the only person that can tell us anything. Why?? I don't have a clue unless it's the identity changes.I have a photo of my grandfather that was taken right before he left in the 1940's. If you would like to see it I would be glad to send it to you. Pastor, I have been searching for my grandfather for years. I only wish I could have found out the information I know now before he passed away. I would still like to know anything about him, maybe see a more updated photo of him. If you can help me or if you know of anyone that can help me please contact me. He still has 5 living children and lots of grandchildren who love him even though he left us. We forgive him and we really want to know something of his life. Pastor Jay......wanted to introduce myself and say hello. i've been fortunate enough to worship with your congregation the past two sundays, and look forward to meeting you and hearing your preach. the people were extremely welcoming and friendly. i'm very comfortable at the various American Baptist Churches, and hope to become a regular worshipper in Bordentown...but being selfish, i may have to wait for the extreme heat to dissipate...last sunday was a tough, hot day :) i was born and raised jewish, and baptized at a conservative lutheran congregation on easter in 2002. ive since studied scripture and doctrine even more, and the Spirit has been guiding me to find a different church home. welcome back from your sojourn....blessings in Christ.
